What is this?

My name is Derrick Rossignol and I'm the author of The Very Best, a book about the early history of Satoshi Tajiri, Game Freak, and Pokémon (available TK via TK). I started working on the book in 2022 and for the first two-plus years, I did nothing but research. Aside from importing print sources and conducting interviews (some with former Game Freak employees who worked on the original Pokémon games), I compiled many, many web sources and other links.

I wanted a fun way to directly share some of the more interesting or entertaining ones (about 75% of them), so I came up with this page. Use the TV to watch videos (more than 250 of them) and try the computer for webpages (upwards of 1,100), primarily from and about the early era of Pokémon history, but with some other stuff mixed in. Hopefully the information is useful for you in your own Pokémon deep dives.

(All videos and links are presented in a new random order each time you visit this page. Some videos will start playing at specific points or at random points; This is intentional. I also made a similar page that is like the TV here but focuses on just Pokémon longplays.)
